• Update of Ranking Rules

  An updated version of the EVF Ranking rules was published. This corrects some smaller typographical errors and extends the number of events included for the calculation of points to a total of five (5).

• Ranking Calculation Issue

  Martin Seeger has identified an issue with the calculation of ranking points for competitions with exactly 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 competitors, causing the number of DE points to be 10 points too high for all participants. This issue was resolved. It occured in about 50 individual competitions and the fencers in those competitions have had their totals reduced by around 10 to 12 points due to the recalculation.

  Following the European Veterans Fencing Congress, EVF confirms that the ban on Russian and Belarusian Fencers will continue to apply for the forseable future.   EVF does not recognise neutral fencers but those fencers who fulfil the residency rules and have the support of the relevant national body may fence for the country in which they have residency. This applies to EVF Individual and Team Championships and all EVF Circuit Events.
